Painting KV-1 (Flames of War)

We are starting a flames of war firestorm campaign at the club on Sunday. This is a mid-war campaign. (Stalingrad)

Most of my flames of war miniature are for late war, so I have to do a little painting.

My first models will be KV-1. I have also painted the KV-1s turrets. The tank is a little different, but really not an issue for club action.

Here is a picture of my KV-1 platoon. Notice that I painted one KV-8. (This is the tank in the front right) The KV-8 is a flame thrower tank.

Painting Hunter Orcs and Moria Goblins (Lord of the Rings)

I have been painting an Azog Hunters list. This is on page 104 from the new Armies of the Hobbit from games workshop. This is a pretty cool list. You can take Azog, Blog, Yazneg, Narzug, Fimbul the Hunter, Hunter Orc Captains, Hunter Orcs, and Fell Wargs.

I still have some models to buy. So far I only have Azog, Fimbul the Hunter, Hunter Orcs, and Fell Wargs.

I wanted to increase my evil Lord of the Rings figures so I bought some Hunter orcs.

Painting Woodland Indians

I had a box of woodland Indians. They had been sitting in my paint room for a while, so I decided to paint them. I really do not like putting models together when there are more then two pieces. These models came in about eight pieces.

Not sure what game we are playing with these. The following is a picture of the entire force. 24 models in all.

It is getting close to the end of the year. Not sure how much painting I will get into over the holidays.

Painting Balrog (Lord of the Rings)

I am putting together a war band from Moria. Mike got me a Balrog at Fall-in. So decided to paint it.

Painting Stark's from Game of thrones for Song Ice & Fire part 3

I have finished painting the starter set of Starks.

An additional unit that was bought with the starter set was the Stark's Long bowmen unit

They are actually very good as they can shoot over your own units.

Mike came back from Fall-in with a box of House Tully sworn shields. I was off on sick leave, so I decided to paint them.

Painting Stark's from Game of thrones for Song Ice & Fire part 2

I have been doing a lot of house renovations so not a lot of time to paint.

However lately I have resumed my painting and have been making real progress.

The following are two Stark sworn swords units.

These units come with Sworn Sword Captains.

Next I painted an Umber Berserker unit

The unit also comes with an Umber Champion

I then painted the Stark Outrider unit

I needed to paint some characters. The set came with Sansa Stark

Next came Ser Brynden Tully Mounted, Crannogman Warden, Maege Mormont and Greatjon Umber

I still have 7 special characters to paint and a Stark Longbowmen unit
